I've done a lot of long hauls in the DAF XF105 over the years. The biggest thing for me is that cab space. They really put some thought into the storage, which I appreciate when I've got to be out for a week or more. The fridge is decent and that little folding ladder for the top bunk is a nice touch. Headroom's alright, even for taller folks. The ride's comfy enough, probably thanks to that all-air suspension. Not much road noise in the cab either, the motor's quiet unless you're really working it. Only real gripe I have is price, even used it's not cheap, but you kinda get what you pay for in terms of comfort. Maintenance hasn't been a hassle for me, just keep up with the usual and it's reliable. Gearbox is mostly smooth, though sometimes the auto waits a bit long to upshift for my taste.

I've driven the DAF XF 105 firsthand and found its handling and cabin comfort appealing. The engine performance, especially its torque range, provides a smooth highway experience. However, the absence of a trailer brake hand mechanism in the manual version requires added care. The cab space offers excellent storage, which is practical for long hauls. Overall, a reliable choice with some areas for improvement.

I’ve been running a ‘18 XF with the MX-13 paired to the TraXon twelve-speed auto. Shifting is smooth, and cruise control takes off a bit of that highway fatigue. It gets decent mpg since they overhauled the turbo and EGR, I guess. Maintenance hasn’t been anything terrible, but I had to swap a sensor once, which wasn’t cheap. Cab is decently roomy, but I kinda wish the seats had a wider range of adjustments. Still, not cramped. Wouldn’t mind a bit less noise from the engine at speed. All around, steady ride and does what I need it to do.

I recently got the opportunity to drive the DAF XF 106, and I must say, it introduces a range of interesting updates compared to the 105 model. The interior is indeed spacious, and the inclusion of a super space cab ensures ample room for longer trips. The ergonomic seat adjustments make a noticeable difference, especially during extended driving hours. However, some storage sections, like the exterior compartments, are on the minimal side considering the size of the truck. In terms of handling, the vehicle performs smoothly, although certain new electronic assistance features require adaptation. Overall, an improved experience, though not without minor quirks.

So I got to drive the XF with the MX-13, 530 horses. Pulls nice, plenty of torque even at low revs so you’re not downshifting all the time. ZF TraXon automatic is smooth, no complaints there. The engine brake is more powerful compared to old XF, helps when coming down hills loaded. Nothing to blow your mind about the interior, but it’s roomy and the seat doesn’t give you back pain after a long trip. Multimedia is full of settings I don’t even use. Fuel use is lower, which is good, but the truck’s not cheap up front. Not sure about long term reliability yet, only done around 20k km. Overall, not perfect, but does what I need and keeps me less tired after a shift.

I've been driving the DAF XF 105 ATe edition for a few months now. The fuel efficiency is something I noticed right away; it genuinely stands out. Handling is smooth, particularly on long hauls. The interior cabin space is decent, albeit slightly constrained for those longer trips. However, the layout of the controls is intuitive. Overall, it's balanced for its purpose, but some features might need refinement for day-to-day practical use.

Recently switched to the DAF XF 106, and it's been an interesting experience. The engine performs well under heavy loads, and the fuel efficiency is decent for its size. The interior is designed with practicality in mind, with reasonable access to controls. That said, the suspension seems to transmit more road imperfections into the cabin than I anticipated. While it could improve winter heating efficiency, it remains a functional and practical vehicle for professional drivers.

The DAF XF 105 offers a solid driving experience. The air suspension provides a smoother ride, and the manual gearbox is durable over extended mileage. Still, earlier models had often been noted for cabin corrosion issues which were only partially resolved in later versions. But overall, the accessibility and functionality of internal components are commendable.

Just started driving the XF 106 recently. The gearbox feels smooth when shifting, which is nice when you're covering long distances. However, I noticed the air conditioning could be more consistent, especially on really hot days. The cab layout is pretty practical, though. All controls are within reach, making adjustments simple while driving.

Driving the DAF XF105 has been a mostly positive experience. The inclusion of xenon headlights improves visibility during nighttime driving. The cab design clearly prioritizes driver feedback. However, the all-air suspension, while ensuring a smooth ride, requires regular checks to maintain effectiveness. Overall, it's a solid truck for extended routes.
