I spend long hours in the cab, so storage and comfort are high on my list. The shelf space is useful for all the paperwork and random bits. I like having the ClassicSpace L-cab when I have overnights - two bunks, plenty of room not to feel boxed in. The dash is well set up, but some of the plastic feels a bit basic compared to more plush trucks I've tried. Dealer network has been good, but I wish the warranty was longer - engine's covered fairly, but only one year all round seems short for a truck priced like this. Heard about a few recalls lately but nothing that's hit me yet, touch wood. Not cheap to buy, but the thing holds its value much better than some others when you want to move it on. Not perfect but it gets the job done for me.

We’ve got a small fleet and one of the Canter TFs is the one everyone grabs first for regular deliveries. The drivetrain holds up. Ours is well past the “new truck” stage and the motor still runs steady, no big surprises. Same for the gearbox, it’s not asking for attention all the time.

Maintenance is pretty straightforward. конструкция простая, and parts are easy to find, plus they’re not priced like some rare import stuff. That keeps the service budget sane.

Downside? I did have an ABS sensor go out on one truck, and it was the kind of failure where you can’t ignore it. Electronics bits like that feel a bit cheap.

Still, as a work tool it does the job day after day.

Been using a TGL with that XLION package for city work. Steering’s super light, maybe almost too light sometimes, especially when loaded up, but the truck handles tight town runs real well. The TipMatic gearbox is decent, shifts are smooth, don’t really need to think much about it. I like having cruise control and all the basic tech - not as bells and whistles as the brand new MAN models, but works. Mirrors are heated and a big help in bad weather, visibility's pretty good except when you hit that awkward blind spot. Didn’t get to push the safety features to the limit but feels solid. Haven’t had to do any real service yet, but booking through ServiceCare looked straightforward online. Price is fair for what you get, but I wish there was a bit more space in the cab for personal stuff. Still, for daily hauling, can’t complain much. Handles distribution work alright and doesn’t beat you up after hours driving.

I drove the LF210 during a range of road tests, including city routes and B-roads. The engine performance exceeded expectations, although such power might not always be necessary. The interior layout was user-friendly, with ample storage spaces. Entry and exit were straightforward, but I found the exhaust brake less effective than anticipated. As a daily working truck, it holds its ground but leaves slight room for improvement in specific features.

Been driving the Atego 818 for a few months on my deliveries. The cab is pretty decent, not cramped at all - I still wish there was more storage for my stuff. The ride comfort is sort of hit and miss, like I don’t mind it most days but you get bumps here and there. Fuel economy's better than most of the trucks I’ve had, so that helps the wallet. The controls feel solid; gears slot in nice and the brakes do the job, which gives some peace of mind in city traffic. Bit on the pricey side if you look at it compared to some others. Maintenance hasn’t bitten me yet, but Mercedes stuff usually costs more, so you gotta be ready for that.

Spent a week with the DAF LF, and its cab design stood out-well thought-out and functional. One complaint, though: the manual gear shifting could be smoother at times.

Operating the MAN TGL has been generally reliable. With a payload capacity suitable for city access limits, it performs well in various tasks. Its four-cylinder engine manages loads effectively, though it might feel slightly underpowered for heavier cargo. Regular maintenance is necessary, especially for turbo-related components, but breakdowns have been rare. The vehicle's interior is functional but lacks advanced features.

I used the MAN TGL for medium-haul deliveries and found its maneuverability a notable advantage. Navigating urban environments was straightforward. However, the cabin comfort could use some improvement during longer trips. Fuel efficiency was acceptable but not extraordinary.

Canter FE73’s engine is quieter than I expected, which is super helpful when you’re spending all day doing deliveries. Torque feels solid, I don’t really struggle on hills even with a load. Steering is much better now and the pedals are set up well so it just feels more natural. I dig that the shifter is right there on the dash, just less reaching around. I wish the stock audio wasn’t so basic, but that’s a minor deal. Pack a few buddies up front, space is good. Bit annoying that A/C isn’t standard though, those hot days get rough.

Had a chance to swap into the LF for some distribution work. First thing that stuck out was getting in and out - dead easy, steps right where you want them and the low cab is great, not awkward when you’re hauling stuff all day. In-cab storage is decent too, places for all your junk plus papers and coffee. Handling in stop-start city traffic is actually not stressful for once, the auto ‘box doesn’t lag and hill start works good. Only thing that bugged me was a rattle from up top, turned out to be a loose nut on the aero kit, just stuff you wasn’t expecting on a near-new truck. But overall, it’s comfy and does what you ask. Wouldn’t mind if DAF focused more on making themselves known locally though, not many folks seem hyped about the badge.
